Abstract

This article presents a thorough analysis of the evolution and future prospects in the field of public security, employing both bibliometric and prospective methods. The bibliometric analysis examines the historical development of research up to 2023, identifying patterns, main areas of study, and influential authors. This deep understanding of the past lays the groundwork for prospective analysis, which uses foresight methods to predict possible scenarios and emerging trends in public security. By combining these approaches, the study offers a comprehensive view of the past and future dynamics of the field. The results of the bibliometric analysis provide a solid understanding of the foundations upon which future research can be built. Through prospective analysis, the article explores potential future directions, critical challenges, and opportunities in the realm of public security.
