Call for Papers – Continuous Submission 2026

The Brazilian Journal of Law, Technology and Innovation (BJLTI) invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit original manuscripts for continuous publication throughout 2026.

BJLTI is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the relationships between law, technology, and innovation, promoting critical and comparative perspectives on contemporary legal challenges arising from digital transformation and emerging technologies.

The journal welcomes high-quality contributions that advance theoretical reflection, doctrinal analysis, empirical research, or comparative approaches within the broad field of Law and Technology.

Scope and Topics

Submissions may address, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • Artificial Intelligence and algorithmic governance

  • Data protection and privacy law

  • Digital platforms and platform regulation

  • Cybersecurity and cybercrime

  • Intellectual property and technological innovation

  • Law and emerging technologies (blockchain, smart contracts, IoT, metaverse, robotics)

  • Digital constitutionalism and fundamental rights in the digital environment

  • Regulation of digital markets and competition law

  • Law, technology, and public administration

  • Legal design, legal analytics, and computational law

  • Ethics and governance of artificial intelligence

  • Law, digital transformation, and sustainability

Interdisciplinary and comparative studies are particularly encouraged.

Submission Policy

BJLTI adopts a continuous submission system (fluxo contínuo). Manuscripts may be submitted at any time during 2026, and accepted articles will be published according to the journal’s editorial schedule.

All submissions must be original and unpublished, and must not be under consideration by another journal.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by specialists in the relevant field. The editorial process evaluates:

  • originality and relevance of the topic

  • methodological rigor

  • theoretical contribution

  • clarity and coherence of argumentation

The journal accepts submissions in:

  • Portuguese (exceptionally)
